Conducting Competition for German Music Universities
The new “Campus Conducting” competition combines pedagogical and competitive elements. The consortium of conductors at the German conservatoires has been holding a competition every three years since 1999, this time in two phases.
In Campus I, which took place in Dresden in September, 28 young conductors had come together to work in master classes with 8 lecturers and professors from all over Germany on their extensive repertoire, divided into orchestra, classical modernism, contemporary and opera.
